The previously known spider beetle fauna of Socotra comprises four endemic species (Mezium erinaceus Belles, Sphaericus hirsutus Ptinus bertranpetiti and Silisoptinus inermicollis Belles) Dignomus mesopotamicus (Pic), which is also from Arabia Mesopotamia. study new material has resulted in the discovery a genus two species, many localities species.
